Train Sim World 4 will finally make a stop in Japan on PS5, PS4 1

While we’re huge fans of Train Sim World 4 and Dovetail’s entire line of railroad simulations, we’ve often criticized its overemphasis on British, American, and German tracks. Fortunately, it looks like the release is set to receive its first Japanese add-on, in the form of the Tadami line, currently in development at overseas studio Union Workshop.

Apparently, this will be an improved version of the same expansion already available for Train Simulator on PC, although we will have to wait for official confirmation on this front. However, we do know that the Tadami Line runs between Koide in Niigata Prefecture and Aizu-Wakamatsu in Fukushima Prefecture, and is operated by the East Japan Railway Company or JR East.

There are actually several DLC packs in the works for Train Sim World 4, including an addition to the London Overground and the Fife Circle Line in Scotland. But it’s this Japanese route that slips away – it’d be nice to play something a little different in a new country for once, wouldn’t it?
