Alphacool, Corsair and Phanteks Versus A Toasty ASUS RTX 4090 Strix/Tuf
TechPowerUp features three GPU coolers, specially designed for two of ASUS’ RTX 4090 series. The Alphacool Core, CORSAIR Hydro XG7 RGBand Phanteks G4090 Glacier GeForce RTX 4090 Strix + TUF coolers compete to see which is the best choice for your system. The Alphacool Core will cost you around $190, the Corsair Hydro is around $210, and the Phanteks Glacier will cost you at least $250, so you can already see some differences. It is also worth mentioning that Alphacool and Corsair coolers come with a three-year warranty while Phanteks only have two years.
These details are important, but so is the relative performance of the three GPU coolers. The Alphacool core is the best performer of the three, though not big enough for the TPU to call the other two unimpressive. Physical measurements also play a factor, the Alphacool is taller than the others, although the Corsair is quite tall as well, while the Phanteks has quite a bit of extra length, you might want to check your case before picking it up.
It’s a tight competition, so check out all three as you may find that you lean towards the aesthetics of one model more than the other two.
