Be quiet! Introducing the Dark Rock Elite and Dark Rock Pro 5 Air Coolers – PC Perspective

To enhance the award-winning cooling performance of the Dark Rock Pro 4, keep quiet! has improved the 7 high-performance heat pipes and two Silent Wings PWM fans for the Dark Rock Pro 5. This has resulted in massive cooling capacity and virtually silent operation, ideal for heavily overclocked systems and demanding workstations. The 120mm front fan has a funnel-shaped outlet for optimal air distribution and is height-adjustable to accommodate high RAM units. The 135mm middle fan is attached to the top cover for top mounting. Thanks to a fixed mounting bridge on the base of the cooler and a removable top cover, installing the Dark Rock Pro 5 is smoother than ever. Both fans feature advanced hydrodynamic bearings, smooth 6-pole motors and airflow-optimized fan blades.

The Dark Rock Pro 5 offers the same built-in speed switch as the Elite, which allows users to choose between a silent mode at 1500 rpm. (120 mm front fan) and at 1300 rpm which unleashes the full power of the cooler and raises the front fan to 2000 rpm, while the middle fan runs at 1700 rpm.

The Pro 5 doesn’t just deliver great performance: a high-quality top cover with a mesh design and a special black coating with ceramic particles to increase heat transfer give this air cooler a sleek look that will feel right at home in any system. The Dark Rock Pro 5 also features the aforementioned edge notches for maximum VRM compatibility, is liquid metal thermal paste compatible, and is backed by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
