1080p performance for under $400
GEEKCOM has released quite a few tiny PCs lately, some very powerful and expensive while others like the A5 are very affordable. This model costs less than $400 and packs a Ryzen 7 5800H, 32GB of DDR4-3200, and a 512GB PCIe 3.0 SSD. There are other versions available if you want to customize it, including adding a second M.2 drive and a 2.5-inch laptop drive as well. In terms of connectivity, you’ll find 2.5Gb LAN, two HDMI 2.0b ports, an SD card slot, 3.5mm audio and four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two of which are USB-C and two USB- A. There’s also WiFi 6 coming from an M.2 card, which TweakTown points out means it can be upgraded in the future.
The GEEKCOM A5 doesn’t top any benchmarks, but considering the price it punches above its weight. The inclusion of HDMI 2.0b makes it a perfect HTPC, and as long as you don’t ask too much from the Vega 8 IGP, you can do light gaming as well. You can see the full review here.
