Intel Stops Making NUCs, Completes Exit From PC System Market – PC Perspective

Users will still have the choice of Intel-powered mini-PC systems from other manufacturers, with a myriad of options available from well-known and other brands, but we’ll no longer have to argue over the pronunciation of Intel’s Next Unit of Computing acronym. Nuck? Corner? Hit? It never really mattered much, but the NUC is just a part of computing history now.

HardwareLUXX (German language) verified this news and provided this statement from Intel:

“We have decided to stop direct investment in the Next Unit Computing (NUC) Business and to reorient our strategy to enable our ecosystem partners to continue NUC innovation and development. This decision will not affect Intel’s remaining Client Computing Group (CCG) or Network and Edge Computing (NEX) businesses. In addition, we are working with our partners and customers to ensure a smooth transition and fulfillment of all our current commitments – including continued support for NUC products currently on the market.”
