Modernize: Well, even if you did manage to grab the Stellar Blade demo on PS5 (it was accidentally released on the PS Store for about 25 minutes before you pulled it), you probably won’t be able to play it from that point on. Sony appears to have updated the demo’s license, meaning that if your PS5 is connected to the internet, it will now be blocked from launching.

However, many people rushed and completed the demo before it was locked. Based on YouTube videos and likes, the demo covers the first hour or so of Stellar Blade, and you can transfer your progress to the full game when it launches in late April.

We assume an official release date for the demo will be announced soon.

Original Story: A demo for the upcoming action title Stellar Blade made a very brief appearance on the PS5 earlier today (as reported by lightning-quick Wario64). The demo dropped on the PS Store without any official warning, and eager fans quickly caught on. However, within about 25 minutes, the demo was pulled from Sony’s digital marketplace. At least we know it exists!

Clearly, someone let this thing slip a little early. Stellar Blade itself is due out on April 26th, so we still have a month and a half until release. Usually, demos don’t arrive until a few weeks after a game’s release — but there’s obviously a chance this early piece of Stellar Blade could appear much sooner.

There’s just one problem: people managed to download the demo before it was pulled, and we’ve had confirmation that they’re free to actually play it. As such, you can fully expect gameplay videos to start popping up everywhere.

Dare we ask if you got the Stellar Blade demo? Wait for the official announcement in the comments section below.
